The Town of Aurora is excited to announce that registration has now opened for Aurora’s Youth Innovation Fair. This opportunity is geared towards youth in grades 4 to 12 that live in Aurora or the surrounding areas and who are interested in showcasing their ideas and innovations to tackle real-world issues.

The Town of Aurora is developing a Recreation Needs Assessment for Persons with Disabilities in our community. This initiative was identified as an action item within the recently approved Parks and Recreation Master Plan in June 2023.

The Town of Aurora is the first municipality to sign a commitment supporting an initiative from Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital to demonstrate the Town’s commitment to being champions of inclusivity. At the Council meeting last night, Mayor Mrakas brought forward a motion pledging the Town’s commitment to supporting people with disabilities and creating an inclusive space for everyone.

Aurora Town Council Adopts 2024 to 2026 Budget, service levels maintained with investments in roads, outdoor spaces & recreation. Aurora Town Council on Tuesday adopted the municipality’s 2024 to 2026 Budget with a 2. 8 per cent increase to the tax levy in 2024, and an additional 1 per cent for capital infrastructure projects.

Aurora Town Council adopted the Official Plan following extensive review and public consultation over the last four years. The Official Plan is a document outlining policies about how land in a municipality will be used.
