  • Please Don't Feed Bread to the Ducks, Geese and Swans

    The Town of Aurora is reminding residents that feeding bread, popcorn, crackers and other human foods to ducks, geese, swans and other birds can cause severe issues for their health and can cause Angel Wing. Angel Wing is a serious condition that affects waterfowl and is directly linked to the animals being fed bread and other high-starch foods.

  • Outdoor Rinks Closed for the 2024 Season

    Despite the hard work of our Parks staff, the warmer temperatures have made it tough to maintain our outdoor rinks. Effective March 4, 2024, all outdoor rinks are closed for the season.

  • Street Sweeping and Flushing

    Aurora’s street sweeping and flushing will begin April 1, 2024 (weather permitting). Sweeping crews will be out between the hours of 7:30 a. m.

  • Outdoor Rinks Closed - February 27, 2024

    Due to the unseasonably warm weather our outdoor ice rinks are currently closed. We're monitoring the conditions closely and will update you as soon as the rinks are ready for action again.

  • Coyote Mating Season Brings Caution for Pet Owners

    The Town of Aurora is renowned for its picturesque parks, expansive trails, lush forests, and a plethora of amenities, but with that comes wildlife in their natural habitat that can be seen in our neighbourhoods. From late January to early March comes mating season for coyotes, it is common during this time to them howling or yipping to communicate and may see more of them as they actively seek out a mate.

    The cold weather is here and that means its time grab some friends and family and head over to one of our four outdoor skating rink locations for one of Canada’s most popular pastimes. Our ice rinks serve as a welcoming space for our community to gather, socialize and be physically active.
