Registered Programs - Pre-registration is required for registered programs. Register online at e-PLAY or pay in-person at one of our recreation facilities (A.F.L.C. or S.A.R.C.).

Public Tennis Courts

Aurora has many tennis courts for users to enjoy. All of our tennis courts are public courts except for McMahon Park, which is home to the Aurora Community Tennis Club and offers limited public hours.

Note: Drop-in play at all shared tennis/pickleball courts shall be on a first-come, first-served basis, rotating on the hour for tennis and utilizing the paddle method for pickleball to rotate after each game of 11 points.

Spring 2025: Summit Park - Permitted Tennis Court Times

The Town of Aurora has permitted one (1) of the two available tennis courts at Summit Park for the below times. This court is available for public use outside of the permitted times listed. The second court is not permitted and will remain available to the public during Town lessons in accordance with the Town’s Field/Court Allocation Policy.

Tennis Lessons

The Town of Aurora provides tennis lessons during the Spring and Summer seasons. Please view our Program Guide webpage for full details. Tennis lesson information will be shown within our Spring & Summer program guide.

All tennis lessons take place at either the Summit Park Tennis Courts or Norm Weller Tennis Courts.
Please wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes with non-marking soles. Balls are supplied. Racquets are available to borrow if needed.

Children & Teen Tennis Lessons

Children & Teen Tennis Lessons
Children – Ages: 7 to 12 years
Teen – Ages: 13 to 15 years

Level 1 - Beginner

This program is for players with no playing experience. The emphasis is on fun, friendship, and development of fundamentals through drills and games. A great way to be introduced to the game of tennis. Balls are supplied. Racquets are available to borrow if needed. Please wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes with non-marking soles.

Level 2 - Intermediate

This program is for players with some playing experience but still lack consistency. Continued development of technique of the fundamentals will be emphasized through drills and games in a fun, friendly atmosphere. This level provides and opportunity to improve consistency and reinforce good technique. Balls are supplied. Racquets are available to borrow if needed. Please wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes with non-marking soles.

Adult Tennis Lessons

Adult Tennis Lessons
Adult – Ages: 18+ years

Level 1.0-1.5

This program is for students with no tennis experience. The lessons will provide an introduction to stroke fundamentals, rules and scoring. Students will learn through a series of drills and games in a fun and energetic environment. Balls are supplied. Racquets are available to borrow if needed. Please wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes with non-marking soles.

Level 2.0-2.5

This program is for students with some tennis experience. Emphasis will be on improving consistency while further developing good technique. Basic tactics will be introduced through drills and games. Balls are supplied. Racquets are available to borrow if needed. Please wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes with non-marking soles.
