Stormwater Ponds
REMINDER: We are asking residents to be extremely cautious around frozen ponds. Please do not walk, sled or skate on the local ponds. Skating on ponds is not permitted and extremely dangerous. In fact, many of the Town’s ponds are not regular ponds, but instead stormwater ponds - an important part of our Town’s drainage system. The ponds may look safe, but under the surface they have flowing water that results in a thinner ice surface with unpredictable conditions.
