Town of Aurora Reaches Tentative Settlement with CUPE Local 905.01

The Town of Aurora and the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 905.01 are pleased to announce a tentative settlement of a collective agreement covering employees in Operational Services and Facilities Maintenance.

“The employees represented by CUPE 905.01 play an important role in providing front line services to our residents including, maintaining the water infrastructure, parks and roads, fleet and our facilities across the Town," said Doug Nadorozny, Chief Administrative Officer. "We are pleased to reach a tentative settlement and want to thank the respective bargaining teams for negotiating to reach this outcome."

"CUPE 905.01 prides itself on working collaboratively with the Town of Aurora leadership team to negotiate collective agreements that are fair for everyone," said Greg Knuth, Chair of Local 905.01. "I want to congratulate the bargaining teams for reaching a tentative deal that addresses our members' concerns at the bargaining table. We look forward to the ratification of the agreement so that we can get back to our core business of providing service excellence to our Town residents and businesses."

Union members will vote on the tentative four-year agreement with the outcome anticipated mid-October. Once ratified, the agreement will be in effect until March 31, 2027.
