Snow Update - Feb 18, 2025

Snow removal in Aurora will take longer to complete following consecutive winter storms.

The Town of Aurora has received over 30 cm of snow, and our crews have been working day and night to clear roads and sidewalks. However, heavy accumulation, continuous blowing snow, and other challenges are making progress difficult.

While we are working as quickly and safely as possible, additional time is necessary to ensure the snow is fully cleaned up. We appreciate your patience and understanding as our teams continue their efforts.

Our crews are back out this morning, continuing with clean-ups and salting of the roads. Yesterday afternoon and evening, we faced blowing snow and snow squalls, which required additional treatment on the roadways.

Our sidewalk crews are also actively working to clear and snow blow the sidewalks.

Today, crews will attempt mechanical snow removal using our loader and trucks to haul away snow from curb-faced sidewalks, weather permitting. This operation will proceed unless we receive further snow today.

A Significant Weather Event remains in effect. For updates visit aurora.ca/Snow
