Significant Weather Event – Feb 12, 2025

The Corporation of the Town of Aurora declares a significant weather event due to Snowfall Warning issued by Environment Canada. Heavy snow and ice pellets are expected with accumulation amounts up to 25 cm.

This will impact roadways, sidewalks, multi-use paths, bicycle lanes, and laneways commencing at 3 p.m. on February 12, 2025, pursuant to O.Reg 239/02.

During this time, proceed with caution and anticipate that roadways, sidewalks, multi-use paths, bicycle lanes, and laneways may be heavy with snow, form ice and become slippery.

All transportation routes such as roadways, sidewalks, multi-use paths, bicycle lanes, and laneways and registered windrows may take additional time to clear.

This declaration will be in effect until further notice.
