| Description: |
Central York Fire Services (CYFS) responded to reports of a garage fire. The first unit on scene reported a fully involved garage fire with heavy smoke and flames. The volume of fire was a threat to the adjacent house and one disabled resident was unable to exit his house. The crews were able to contain the fire to the garage while evacuating the disabled man. There was minimal damage to the adjacent house and vehicle. |

| Current Status: | CYFS has fully extinguished the fire. |
| Resources Used: | CYFS responded with two engines, two aerials, one utility vehicle, 17 firefighters and two chief officers at the scene. CYFS worked in collaboration with York Regional Police, York Region Paramedics and the local utility company. |
